When you enter into the musical adventure called 16 Second Stare, you do so at your own risk. It is a world of controlled chaos. . . one without the major label binds, where the independent spirit rules, and the success is determined by the shear desire of that spirit. 16 Second Stare has achieved much for an independent band, starting with radio, achieving over 4000 spins to date in major market radio stations around the United States. These include Chicago, Oklahoma, Minneapolis, Nashville, Tampa, Charlotte, SiriusXM, and nationally-syndicated programs like Harddrive and The Dan Patrick Show. 16 Second Stare has had the highest charted Christmas song on the Mediabase Active Rock chart for 2011, and in 2012 with an amazing version of Dr. Seuss’s The Grinch. The combined airplay has generated close to 5 million gross impressions and continues to grow, and over 100,000 views on Youtube.
Touring is another avenue that has given 16 Second Stare the opportunity to win a new and dedicated fan base, with dates that include all of Cruefest2 with Motley Crue, God Smack, Drowning Pool and Theory Of A Deadman. They have toured the USA with Non-point, Brian “Head”Welch, Dokken, Royal Bliss, and includes touring Europe.
The band has released two full-length CDs (“Red Carpet Material” and “Beautiful Disaster”) independently with great success, and will release their 3rd full-length CD in the summer of 2013. The release will include Spanish versions of “The Judge” and “The Grinch,” which will help capitalize on a newly emerging market in South America. This new album from 16 Second Stare is the creation of founding-member, Tim Shanks/Vocal-GuitarSongwriter, and band mates Miguel Gonzalez/Vocal-Songwriter, Ray Ramos/Lead vocal, Dennis/Lead guitar, Nick Marinovich/Keyboard, and Ricky Sanders/Drums. The philosophyof 16 Second Stare has not changed in the ten years they have been creating music: “Do it our way; fight the good fight; and get out of our way, if you don’t like it!”
